In 1980 in Chicoutimi, a small town in northern Quebec, adventure enthusiasts dreamed of offering both beginners and experts high-performance clothing and equipment for outdoor activities. Today, Chlorophylle has returned to it's origins.

In 2013, we set out to make better face protection for mountain athletes. Our personal frustration was the fuel to solve an all-too-common problem: no headwear would provide warmth without creating goggle fog and restricting our breathing—and we did just that.

Folkrm was founded by 2 friends and avid backcountry skiers in Hood River, Oregon. Our goal was to create a simple yet durable ski pole for those who find themselves uphill skiing as much as downhill skiing. After heavy testing throughout the Pacific Northwest, a few prototypes and some summer ski trips to the mountains, we arrived at a final design. Simple, efficient and durable, we believe we have come up with the most practical ski pole on the mountain.
